About Brooklyn DOP

Artisan New York style pizza with a nod to Italian and New York street food classics.

Brooklyn DOP is a pizza restaurant in Brooklyn, New York. It is listed at 237 5th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215, which places it among the local businesses of Brooklyn that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under caterer, family restaurant, italian restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Brooklyn DOP at (347) 599-1913; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is brooklyndop.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 593 reviews, which is a strong result for a pizza restaurant in Brooklyn and suggests consistent service.

Brooklyn is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Brooklyn follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Score: 8.1/10 This was easily my favorite slice of the day. The pepperoni slice was absolutely spot onβ€”perfectly crispy crust, zero flop, and a great bite. It had just that little bit of grease you want and expect from good pepperoni. The atmosphere inside was great too, especially the nice, long copper bar along the back wall for dining. I would highly recommend this place, no doubt about it.

Pizza looked good tasted great. Good crunchy crust. Sauce has a nice flavor to it. Parking can be very very hard. But i double parked cause I had to try a slice I risked a 100 plus dollar ticket for this slice and it was so worth the risk. Not sure if it would have been worth it if I got the ticket though. Will come back with the kids this weekend and see

All I can say is hands down to their pizza! When you’re looking for a good new york slice this is the place you should go to! I really do love their Spicy Margherita and the Bianca!

Had been meaning to give this place in try the next time we made it back to BK. Wife and I were very happy. Pictured are the Margherita and the Sicilian w/ Meatball & Ricotta. Light, airy, perfect crunch. Good tangy sauce. All around excellent and highly recommend.

Brooklyn DOP is a cozy, casual pizzeria that’s perfect for a quick bite or a casual meal. The space is small but efficiently designed, featuring an open kitchen in the back and a counter at the entrance displaying the available pizzas. A few tables and a counter with high chairs provide seating for those who prefer to dine in. During my visit, I ordered two slices, one plain and one spicy. The slices were freshly heated, and the dough was well-made, with a nice balance between softness and structure. The ingredients tasted fresh and flavorful, and the pizzas were not overly fluffy, which can sometimes indicate a less-than-ideal preparation. Overall, the taste was excellent and very satisfying. Service was simple, courteous, and efficient. The pizzeria has a steady flow of regulars picking up slices, suggesting it is well-loved by the local community. Prices are reasonable, especially given the quality of the pizza. In summary, Brooklyn DOP is a reliable spot for great pizza with fresh ingredients, friendly service, and a welcoming, no-frills atmosphere. I will definitely return for more.
